Double Creek Ranch – Five-Star Views…A Five-Star Wedding…and Another Five-Star Review!!
A stunning 20-acre wedding venue..Wow!
As I pulled into the Double-Creek Ranch, I could see why the McCarver’s were drawn to this venue. It’s a stunning 20-acre wedding spot nestled in the mountain foothills of Fairview, NC. It Offers a customizable “venue only” approach. The Double-Creek gives you the flexibility to choose the elements of your dream wedding one-by-one. This made me quite happy, as I was prepared to provide a great night of entertainment for this wonderful couple! Together, we selected unique and memorable music for the occasion, and it was now time to get things started!
In the wedding questionnaire they submitted I saw a number of unique musical selections were desired. With material sourced from Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, as well as hits from great artists old and new, it was clear that the wedding guests would have a lot to remember when looking back on 
Star Trek Music?..What?
The pre-ceremony music requests employed the Star Trek Voyager music, as well as the Lord of the Rings music. I always enjoy looking at guests while this type of stuff is played. It’s almost a look of amusement, and you get the sense that they are happy to see the couple being more unique and whimsical. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with traditional wedding ceremony music. However, you can’t beat something that’s just a little bit more personal and entertaining for both bride and groom, as well as family and guests.
Perfect weather was not a requirement…a beautifully lit tent would provide shelter from all but the toughest weather. However, one could not have asked for a more wonderful night. In addition to great weather for the ceremony and cocktail hour, the reception would also benefit from a beautiful North Carolina evening. The string lights illuminated the tent just enough to take advantage of my DJ lighting, as the party heated up after a great dinner set.
More Cool Music!
Melissa and James chose music from Ed Sheeran, Chris Brown, James Taylor, Adele, U2 and so many more. Looking at the playlist, I was confident that a wide range of guests would enjoy the music. If the dance floor was any indication, our pre-wedding homework had paid off. Everyone was having a terrific time, for certain! Even the incredible food and drink couldn’t keep people off the floor for long…everyone was there to dance and celebrate this great couple!! Just look at the slide show

Another 5 Star Review!
DJ P-LO offered us an excellent music experience for our wedding. We had some technical difficulties with getting my exact reception playlist synced up, just because my venue was out in the middle of nowhere, but Patrick made sure that the party kept moving with songs similar to the ones I had posted on my playlist. He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception within my budget. He even played some live music on his trumpet during dinner, which was a huge surprise to my guests and left everyone very impressed. Not only was he great at providing music, but he also checked on my husband and I after the cake cutting to make sure we had gotten some cake, and he continued to touch base with us throughout the night to ensure we were having a good time. He was easy to communicate with and did a great job overall. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a truly great time at their wedding reception!
