The Cuban Party-Miami, FL-5 Stars-Asheville’s DJ P-LO back at home. Yes! My old hometown of Miami to DJ and perform for Ariel and Nicolle.
From the looks to the party, It was a real Cuban hang! “Que rico la comida”
The Cuban Party
Ariel and Nicolle are very good friends of mine and as well are great musicians! As being very keen to good music, they knew they needed the live music element as well as a Dj to deliver exactly what they wanted for their special day. It was a honor to be party of this great “cuban” wedding. It is so great is to perform for personal friends and the food as you see in the picture above. I just love going back to the cultural stomping grounds of Miami. The palm trees, beaches, food and the people!Did I mention that already? ha
The Venue-Royal Palm Island
The place to be was in Cutler Bay in Miami, Florida, Royal Palm Island prides itself as private waterfront venue on 44 acres. This includes a 26-acre private lake with a exclusive outdoor venue steeped in Florida’s beauty. They both decided this was the place for the wedding to take place with all its amenities. It just took me 35 min from the airport so it was very close to everything.Take a look at the website for more information here. The website if full of information for future brides to be. Such a beautiful venue!
Working with great vendors from NC?
It was so cool and ironic that I had a chance to work with a wedding planning company that made transitions go smoothly.Event Bliss was at the helm in helping me with all information for dances, timeline, etc. The time line included live music from good friends and great musicians from the miami area. Yes, Miami is a melting pot of different stylistic bands and musicians. I got to enjoy the sounds of the Adrian,He is such a wonderful person and great musician! He provided music for the cocktail hour and hopefully I can provide a snippet of his wonderful music when I update this post.
The Party-Miami Style!
Sometimes with the availability of our phones, we can capture moments like this one. The first dance is always so great to capture when its happening right before you. The song choice for this moment was “Feels Like Home by Randy Newman”. Song choices can be so all over the spectrum that having your Spotify playlists in check, gives me a good indication of songs to play and what to play if and when you have other requests.
Miami Stylin is for sure such a cool thing.from “Sweet Child of Mine, Guns n Roses” to “La Gozadera” was in the air. Mixing of different music is what I am used to. One thing as well is to really gage a party in choosing the right song at the right time for a South Florida crowd. As a Miami-an ( from Nov -May usually) I still get to perform for diverse groups like this one. One thing that Ariel and Nicolle really made sure is that all the guests were able to ask for requests for songs to hear. Some other DJs don’t like doing this but It really helps my out as well keep things interesting for everyone to enjoy!
Another 5 Star Review!
As I know it does help my future brides and grooms, providing these reviews is to help you see the party and what my clients feel about their special day! One way is to see these reviews on my blog ( like you are doing now) or the wedding portals like The Knot and Wedding Wire
Thank you DJ P-LO
Patrick was an incredible presence at our wedding. He was extremely professional worked with our wedding planner, and took care of all of our special moments with ease. PLO truly kept the dance party going all night and accommodated any song request, then would suddenly be right in the middle singing or playing the trumpet along with whatever song was on. By the end everyone wanted to know WHO was this multi-talented DJ?? Highly recommend for any event. Thank you so much Patrick!!! You rock!
